Empowerment is a multi-dimensional social process that helps people gain control over their own lives. It is multi-dimensional since it is not an outcome de any one factor. It can be examined from a variety de perspectives ranging from sociological, psychological et financial to political. It is a process that fosters power en people, especially le marginalized pour use en their own lives, their communities, et en their society by acting sur issues that they define as important. Le present book attempts to examine le phenomenon de women empowerment at le global level. It brings together a collection de 17 articles from le developing world.
