The book represents the analysis of existing literature in relation to contextual vulnerabilities affecting childhood under-nutrition and morbidities in India with special reference to one vulnerable area of West Bengal. Literatures developed the concepts of poverty and vulnerability – both from broader as well as narrower perspectives. Multiple concepts of poverty and ever increasing multidimensional issues gradually developed the concept of vulnerability thinking deeper into poverty in dynamic sense through probabilistic lens. Though a large number of literatures are available on vulnerability to poor health, poverty, climate change, disaster and so on in isolated manner; multidimensional vulnerability calls for attention followed by action. This Book provides a clear understanding about all the issue supported by empirical evidence.
