Plante Physiology
Plante Biochimie
Description
Allelopathy is a new field de science, as le term ''Allelopathy'' was coined en 1937. However researchers are not using le Standard methods, due to lack de compendium sur le Techniques, hence, le results obtained are not easily comparable avec each other. Therefore, to make available le Standard methods pour conducting allelopathy research independently, this multi-volume book has been planned. Since allelopathy is multi-disciplinary area de research, hence, volumes have been planned pour each discipline. Understanding de allelopathic phenomenon et le effect de allelochemicals sur receptor plants requires an interdisciplinary approach. Le effects de allelochemical action can be detected at different levels de plant organization: molecular, structural, biochemical, physiological et ecological. This book has been written to provide information about all aspects de Plante Biochimie. It is divided en 3 sections: Section I. Preparation de Plante Materials, has 1 chapter (Extraction et processing de plant material pour biochemical assays). Section II. Biochemical Assays, consists de 17 chapters (Amino acids, Proteins, Enzymes, Carbohydrates, Lipids, Nucleic acids, Phenolic compounds, Polyphenols et lignin’s, Terpenoids, Amines, Alkaloids, Cyanogenic compounds, Reactive oxygen species, Antioxidant capacity, Enzymatic antioxidant system, Adenine pyridine nucleotides, Plante Hormones). Section III. Metabolic Processes, has 5 chapters (Brassinosteroids, Photosynthesis, Glycolisis et energy related pathways, Respiration, Nitrate assimilation). Section IV. Appendices (Abbreviations, Chemical formulae et molecular weight de solvents et reagents). This book will serve as ready reference en laboratory/greenhouse/field studies et en class room. It will help to solve many problems de Plante Biochimie. It will be useful pour UG et PG students pursuing allelopathic research en laboratory, greenhouse et field studies et to Biologists et Ecologists. Le users de this book can select suitable methods, according to le available facilities.
