The present Volume 50 of the series Recent Progress in Medicinal Plants is a compilation of Abstracts of 492 articles on Medicinal Plants published in Volumes 27 to 49 of the Series. The volume covers the information on Abstracts of all the 492 papers / review articles published in these volumes (27 to 49) contributed by approx. 892 authors originated from 72 countries of Globe. These volumes contained the invited articles on Phytomedicine, Phytochemistry and Pharmacology, Ethnobotany, Drug Standardization, Essential Oils, Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology, Flavonoids & Antioxidants, Analytical and Processing Techniques, Nutraceutical & Functional Foods, Metabolic Disorders: Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension, and Inflammatory Disorders. The present volume is in continuation of Cumulative Abstract Volume 26 of the Series wherein information on Abstracts of the Articles published in first 25 volumes is presented. In the Volume 50, the same trend of classification and presentation was observed as that of Vol 26. In totality 11 subjects / groups were formulated namely Physiology & Biochemistry; Pharmacognosy; Clinical Studies; Pharmacology & Toxicology; Insecticidal & Piscicidal Activity; Phytochemistry; Ethnomedicine; Analytical & Processing Techniques; Biodiversity & Pharmaceutical Botany; Cytogenetics, Genetics, Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology; and Cultivation/ Agronomy to facilitate easy access. These Abstracts in each classification have been serially numbered from Volume 27 onward of the series and provide information on subject classification, year of publication, volume number, chapter of volume, abstract number in sequence. This is followed by the name of author (s), Institutional affiliation of author(s), title of paper, bibliographic details, number of cited references and abstracts. For easy access Index to Author(s), Subject(s) are also presented. The volume will be useful to Researchers and Scientists in the field of Phytochemistry, Experimental Pharmacology, Microbiology, progressive entrepreneurs in Medicinal Plants, plant-based industrialists, pharmaceutical traders, medical professional, R&D personnel’s policy planners, S&T consultants, cultivators of medicinal plants and patents attorneys, particularly those engaged in the search of new drugs of plant origin.
